Unpublishing content in Webex chat room
In order to unpublish content from a Webex chat room, you need to edit its settings. By default, this option displays the entire article, but you can change this setting to display only the thumbnail. If you want to publish a video or photo, you need to change its format to “full article.” You can also unpublish content from a Webex chat room by following the instructions below. You’ll need to remove the Webex enterprise messaging app integration from Appspace.
In Webex, a user can delete content using the Employee App. By default, they’re redirected to the Employee App portal, where they can view the content. They can also remove themselves from the space, so they don’t see anything that they’ve posted. After deleting the content, they won’t be able to see it again. If you want to recover content, you can access the Media Manager in Cisco Webex Control Hub. From here, you can navigate to the trash folder to find deleted files. The length of time that deleted content is stored depends on the space policy. If you delete the content, you should ensure that the Moderator owns the space. Moreover, all members of the space have to have left the space before deleting it.
Creating a space in a team
In Webex, teams are a great way to keep your meetings on track and help you collaborate on larger projects. If you have several different departments, a Webex team can be especially useful. For example, a conference organizer might create one Team for the entire conference and several smaller spaces for breakout sessions. If your team is more localized, it may only need a single stand-alone space for a celebration or an office celebration. The process of creating a space within a team is outlined below.
You can also create multiple spaces within a Team. You will need a name for the space, and you can include more than one person within the team. When you create a new space, people who have permission to join the team will automatically be notified. In addition, you can also block anyone who does not belong to the administrator group. Creating a space within a Team will save you time and frustration.
How to Create a Webex session
Creating a Webex session and removing its status requires a few steps. First, you need to be a Moderator for the space. You can do this from your Canvas account. Under your account settings, click Approved Integrations. Look for Webex under that list. Then, click Delete to remove the status of the session. You may also want to delete the content if you no longer need it.
Next, you will need to select a location to store the recordings. The default location is the Default Recordings Folder. You can change it to another location if needed. By default, recordings from Webex Meetings will be imported into Panopto using the email address of the host. If you do not have a Panopto account, the recordings will be uploaded into the Default Recordings Folder.
Creating a Webex status
Creating a Webex status is easy, and deleting it is even easier. Just go to your Canvas account and click on the Approved Integrations tab. You’ll see Webex listed there. Select it and click the delete button to get rid of it. Note that deleting a status will erase all of its previous copies. However, it’s possible to restore a deleted status if you’ve lost it, and re-create it using your Canvas account.
To delete messages on Webex, click on the trash can icon and click on “Delete”. A confirmation box will appear to confirm your decision. You can do the same with multiple messages. As of November 2021, there’s no way to bulk-delete messages, but the option has been requested in the October 2020 Webex User Community Forum. Once you’ve made your decision, you’ll no longer have to worry about losing important content.
Restricting visibility of your availability settings
You can limit the visibility of your Webex availability settings for other people. To restrict the visibility of your Webex status, go to the top left corner of the app and click the gear icon. Then, go to the settings section and select Restrict Visibility. This feature allows you to limit who can view your status. It works for both Webex and other applications. By limiting the visibility of your status, you can keep your contact list private.
If you’re worried about revealing the statuses of other users, restrict their visibility settings. This way, you can keep the statuses of people who are not from your organization from being visible.
